This Amplifier is excellent. The sound detail and separation is truly fantastic. The build quality is so good, including the front panel display, the buttons, and the connections on the back. It actually feels better made and better sounding than the NAD I am now replacing. Of course when I saw this beautiful amplifier online, I was very skeptical so I wrote an email to Summit Sales highlighting my concerns and questions. Within hours I was on the phone with Aamir and we was addressing all of my concerns (parts, manufacturing, warranty, sound quality, pricing, all of it). So I agreed to give it a try and here I am a few weeks later and I couldn't be happier. It runs even cooler than my receiver, which I have now pre-out all 7 channels so that is pretty amazing too. Honestly cant say enough good things about it and the service level in particular is just next level. I hope Summit comes up with a Pre-Processor as well one day because I would surely grab one after seeing just how good the Amplifier is.

New to amplifiers, I searched and watched video reviews on different brands and types available. I stumbled on the Summit Hi-Fi A7 and was pleased with ALL 7 channels offering the same power. It's paired with my Onkyo TX-RZ50 which now simply runs my subwoofers and rear surround. The A7 powers the center, front left, front right, surround left and surround right speakers. My thoughts of an amplifier was to relieve the Onkyo from power all the speakers and prevent possible overheating. I have turned the combination up as far as I could stand and have yet heard any distortions from it. I felt a mere light warmth after pushing the amplifier as much as my ear could take in volume. It seems to simply take what sound it is given and reproduces it, clearly. Offering 2 power supplies, 7 equally rated channels and a nice front display with meter options is a plus. The packaging for shipping raised the bar for all other brands.

First off Thank You Aamir, who successfully made sure my order arrived just as it set in the warehouse, well packaged, anyways shipping can be a pain, right out of the box I hooked the heavy weights up to my ONKYO TX-RZ50 all 11 channels of them, after all the wiring was completed, and after the Dirac Calibration, I have to say and agree, these heavy hitters are no joke, they will wake your speakers up, not to mention the sound separation process, which is amazingly noticeable. ATMOS music sounds incredibly rich and full, and I can’t say enough about the sound processing on movies the likes of Ready Player One, Batman, and many more. With only a week in, I would love to take a few more weeks and come back for a in-depth review after they break in. You can’t go wrong for (not) spending 5k or more for just one amplifier. So if you’re going to go separates this would be my choice for clean power hands down.

"I don't have a ton of experience with higher end audio gear but I did a LOT of research for about 75 days. This thing weighs 82 pounds and it sounds amazing. To give you an idea of what I first noticed, when I first turn on the system the default volume is at 30 (out of 80} on the emotiva by itself. That gives you a fairly low level volume for a start and then you move that up just a touch to listen to news and stuff. When I added the summit it fired it up to the default of 30 it was substantially louder. Changing the new default to 20 made it play at the same level as the emotiva alone at 30."

"My big Rotel is a RMB 1095. 200 wpc and two toroids. My “little” - RMB 1075- is 125 wpc and only one toroid. The 1075 sounds wonderful. But the 1099 is at a totally different level. Compared at same volume the 2 toroids make for big, but much more detailed bass, fuller mids and the highs are even better! The 1099 sounds like it’s similar to your Summit. Certainly “feels” that way. Weighs a few pounds less than yours- even comes with built in wheels for gods sake.
That Summit is a real find! You’re getting sound you shouldn’t be getting at that price."
